Product Summary

Multi Motor Excess Protect
Motor Excess Insurance For up to 5 Vehicles

Multi Motor Excess Protection Insurance provides peace of mind to those of us who own more than 1 vehicle.

Cover is provided for the reimbursement of the excess applicable under your motor insurance policy for which you or an additional driver are responsible following the successful settlement of a physical damage claim arising as a result of fire, theft, vandalism or an accident that was your or any additional driver’s fault, or partially your or additional driver’s fault, or where within 6 months you or an additional driver are unable to recover your excess from a liable third party.

This policy will cover up to a maximum of 5 motor vehicles and/or motorcycles.

For cover to apply the excess of the motor insurance policy must be exceeded by the value of the successful claim payment.
The maximum amount payable under this motor excess protection insurance policy depends on the level of cover selected and for which the appropriate premium has been paid. Please refer to the certificate of insurance or confirmation of coverage document for your cover limit.

How it Works?

You have to select the amount of cover you require for the year. The options available to you for a 12 month policy are:

  • Annual Cover – £500 = £54
  • Annual Cover £750 = £63
  • Annual Cover £1000 = £85
  • Annual Cover £2000 = £112
  • Annual Cover £2500 = £150

Prices are inclusive of IPT (Insurance Premium Tax)

What’s Covered

What’s covered?

You can claim on your Multi Motor Excess Insurance policy for a variation of claim scenarios – except where your excess can be reclaimed from someone else – e.g. in a non-fault motor accident claim where a third party is liable to pay your excess. Even then you can still claim on your Excess Protect Plus policy if you can not get the money from the third party within a six month window. Windscreen damage excesses are not recoverable with Excess Protection Insurance. To find out more then click on the key facts link below and see exactly what your policy covers.

For a complete breakdown of Exclusions and Benefits then please refer to this products Fey Facts and Policy Wording documentation.

Save Money!

Save even more money

If you opt for a higher excess on your Buildings and Contents insurance policy and you protect it with Excess Protection, you might be able to bring your home insurance premium down, saving you even more money. Whether this action would prove to be worthwhile we dont know, Insurance companies often differ so check out all possible scenarios when talking to an insurance company.

Don’t forget though, that the higher the excess you have on your buildings and contents insurance, the higher the cost of the claim would need to be before your insurer will deal with the claim, and you cannot claim on Excess Protection if you cannot claim on your buildings and contents insurance.
